Question for you. So you book with Expedia a year out or more (since they have a better cancellation policy) and you reserve but don’t pay. You pay when you get to the hotel. Now if you pay with a hotel credit card do you get the points?!

Another Canadian here. We don’t seem to be able to play the game like you do and we are always having to watch our dollar vs the U.S. dollar. Yes, the Rius let you pay later, but since they do all their calculations in U.S. dollars, it is one hell of a gamble. Plus I have looked at the booking hotel and flight separate thing and it’s almost like the companies go “Oh you’re Canadian? Bend over pls”.. That being said, I do look a lot at all the websites I can and play the game to see if I can get the best price for whatever it is we are after at the time.
