Third party reservations can backfire on you quickly. I have hotel memberships and pretty much stick to one of two brands. Members get a small discount, but with consistent usage they know me and if there is something like a last minute change, I usually have no issues. I choose hotel chains I know will be clean, etc. I am picky about the clean thing and I have had cheap have the not so clean. If they are not full, it is not unusual to get an upgrade at no extra charge.
George loves to talk over her, it’s so annoying. And Rachel is so used to it she’ll stop talking immediately and listen.

Ok but at what point do you find out which hotel you booked? After you arrive? 😅
I’m late to this post, but I’m from Canada and I’m struggling booking a hotel without a credit card! Please help! I used to be able to put a cash deposit down, now they won’t let you book without a credit card on file 😢 HELP!!!
