I book Economy & Fly Business Class- Here’s how PRO TIP !!!✈️

Business Class Travel Hack!

I’m not sure why no one is talking about this but I’m an economy class traveller who flies business class fairly regularly for overseas flights.
Bidding is one of my number one ways that I get an upgrade!
How it works:
On flights with availability left in business class, the airline will send out a bid email to fill up the unbooked seats. You select a bid that is comfortable for your budget.
This amount is IN ADDITION TO WHAT YOU PAID ON YOUR ORIGINAL FARE.
Typically the bids high end are 20% lower than the published fare and allow you to go to a fairly low number. (They even have a ranking scale to let you know if your bid is poor, average, good, excellent etc.
Then you wait and the airline will email you if your bid has been accepted, and your credit card will automatically be charged, typically within 48hrs of your flight! Air Canada has the bidding process right on their site now even so you don’t have to wait for the invitation to bid
Fair warning though lol, once you’re used to those bid upgrades it’s pretty sad when you don’t get it 🤣 business class is slightly addictive!

  2. Do you mind naming the airline?

  3. Your chance of winning is astronomically low when bidding. If you have the money to get that business seat just get it.

They only reserve a few seats for bids and if the waitlist for upgrades is long 10+ ppl the chances are you won’t get it. Also people who use eupgrades will top the waitlist and so will people with higher statuses. That’s the only way I’ve won my upgrades, cause even that isn’t guaranteed.

I bid on every single flight I take and only once did they email me back with a counter offer asking for a few hundred more, I refused so I didn’t get the upgrade.

The way AC has their flights setup where almost 99% of flights are full. You won’t ever win an AC bid unless you bet the highest amount. Even that will be small chance on a full flight.

This perk would be great if flights weren’t full but those days are gone.

  4. I’m currently in bid for a flight (**fingers crossed** hope I get it) but how did you “reimburse through points” as you stated in your video?

  5. I’ve never received an option to bid, how do you get the email ?
